Descriptionhand-made picture frame based on what is probably a wooden backing. The front has been covered initially with an advertisement for a mangle, and then framed by a hand-stitched tapestry surround in green. The back is covered with red material, and a cord stitched around the frame to create a method of suspending the frame. 19th century.
