Descriptioncollection of correspondence between Freda Levson (nee MacDonald Troup), anti-Apartheid campaigner and author, active between the 1940s to her death in 2004. The correspondents include her husband, photographer Leon Levson (1883-1968), her sister Reta Casson, her father Dr. James MacDonald Troup and her aunt Winifred, Lady Troup, youngest daughter of Huntly poet and author George MacDonald. Other recipients include the Reverend Michael Scott, pioneering international campaigner against South Africa's Apartheid policies; Mary Benson, anti-Apartheid activist and member of the A.N.C., and Phyllis Forbes-Dennis, prominent author and psychoanalyst. The fonds covers the period 1932 to 1968. A detailed archival list will be available for reference in due course.
