She is wearing an intricately stitched cap in cotton and lace with red stitching and a pearl, covered by a large cotton and lace bonnet. The jacket is of faded pink silk with lace trim. The skirt is missing, but the net crinoline and underskirt is still present. The pagoda sleeves and single button on the jacket indicates a date of circa 1860s.
