Dark Green marble base, polyester stand; silver egg, hinged in two pieces, covered by silver wire "net", with fishes in lower net; inside lower egg half is blue enamel sea, with silver-gilt drifter inset. Commissioned by NESMS to commemorate the centenary of the opening of the present (1893) building of the Arbuthnot Museum, Peterhead. Accompanying archive of material relating to commissioning of centenary egg.
