TitleSt. Michael's Church, Kinkell
DescriptionPhotograph of the ruins of St. Michael's Church, Kinkell. The present church building, which was dedicated to St Michael, dates to the early 16th century, although others have stood on the site, including one of 1420 said to have belonged to the Knights of Jerusalem. The parishes of Keithhall and Kinkell were united in 1754, which led to a new parish church being built in Keithhall in the early 1770s. This was to become the main church in the parish and St Michael's Church was closed. It's roof was removed and re-used in the new church. The surviving stonework was gradually robbed before the remaining stonework was eventually consolidated.
