Brass pommel, grip brown leather bound with brass wire. Scabbard of steel, with steel chape and two loose-ring ferrules. 'Klingenthal' maker's inscription on blade spine, maker's stamps on ricasso, both sides. Marks on blade spine are obscured by a series of deep incisions.
