DescriptionIndo-Turkish sabre with European blade, possibly German. Grips of rhino horn, bulbous pommel and steel grip strap with brass rivets. Classical Persian cross-guard with knuckle guard and curved quillion. Blade is probably European, due to shallow curve, with three narrow fullers mid-blade on both sides. Left side of blade stamped with lunette, crude stars and interlaced design below guard. Right side of blade stamped with stylised sun, crude stars and interlaced design below guard. Horn grips damaged, with piece missing on left grip.
