Descriptionstone spearhead from Native Point on Southhampton Island, Hudson Bay. The clover-leaf design would have been inserted into a bone or ivory foreshaft. The spearhead is believed to have been made by a member of the now-extinct Sallirmiut tribe of Inuit, which died out during the winter of 1902-1903 as a result of disease introduced by a sick sailor from the whaling ship 'Active.' 19th century.
