Mitchell M.B.E. along with a purse of sovereigns by his friends on the occasion of his leaving Cruden Bay Station for Ellon Junction, August 8th, 1902.' The table was presented to the donor's grandfather, Mr. James Knight Mitchell M.B.E. on the occasion of his promotion from Station Master at Cruden Bay to the post of Station Master of Ellon Junction Station in 1902. He later went on to be Station Master at Peterhead. At the time of his death, he was Goods Agent at Waterloo Station, Aberdeen. This was during the 1914-1918 War, when vital supplies to the Naval Centre at Scapa Flow, Scotland, were transported by rail. Production date exact 1902 Object nametable, card
