DescriptionCopy of newspaper cutting print of "Wistow Hall". The 3314-ton steamship "Wistow Hall" was built at Greenock in 1890 and was owned by the Hall Line. In January 1912 the vessel was bound from Newcastle for Glasgow in ballast. On 18 January 1912 the vessel was disabled in a storm and drifted ashore at North Haven near the Bullers of Buchan. There were only 4 survivors from the crew of 57; the bodies were buried at St. James's Church, Cruden.
